Finding Our Voice: The Journey of Two Introverted Storytellers

Finding Our Voice: The Journey of Two Introverted Storytellers

Hey there, fellow storytellers, deep thinkers, and coffee lovers!

We’re Curly and Neal, two introverts who somehow decided to share our conversations with the world. If you’ve stumbled upon our YouTube channel, you know we’re not your typical loud, high-energy creators. Instead, we sit down with a cup of coffee, hit record, and just talk. About what we’ve seen, what we’ve experienced, and how we process the world in our own quiet, observant way.

But here’s the thing; we’re still figuring it out.

Right now, we’re experimenting. We don’t have a set formula or a strict content plan. Instead, we’re exploring different ways to tell stories that feel authentic to us and, hopefully, meaningful to you.

Why we started this

It all started with coffee chats. Just the two of us, unwinding after long days, sharing stories about things we saw, people we encountered, and thoughts that stuck with us. Sometimes, we’d get caught up analyzing a tiny moment most people would overlook a stranger’s subtle expression, a random street sign, or the way light hits a window at a certain time of day.

At some point, we realized that these quiet observations, these seemingly small moments, were actually full of meaning. And maybe, just maybe, other people would appreciate them too.

That’s when we decided to turn our coffee chats into something more. Not scripted, not overly polished, but real. Conversations that invite you in, make you reflect, and maybe even help you see the world a little differently.

We’re experimenting still

After launching our channel, we’ve been playing around with different ways to share our thoughts and stories. Some formats feel natural, while others don’t quite fit. Here are a few things we’re trying:

  •  Long-form chats: These are more free-flowing conversations where we talk about whatever’s on our mind. No strict topic, just us processing the world in real time.
  • Story recaps: We pick a moment from our week, break it down, and explore why it stuck with us. This could be an encounter with a stranger, something we read, or a random thought that led to a deeper realization.
  • Themed discussions: Sometimes, we focus on a specific themes like nostalgia, creativity, or the power of small gestures and explore it through personal stories.

Each video is an experiment. We’re paying attention to what feels right and what resonates with our audience.

The Challenges of Being Introverted Creators

Being introverts in a space dominated by big personalities and fast-paced content is a challenge. We’re not the type to shout for attention or follow every trend. Our energy is different; more reflective, more introspective.

At first, we wondered if our style would even work on YouTube. Would people really want to sit with us for 20 minutes and just listen? Would our quiet approach get drowned out?

But we’ve come to realize that there are others out there who crave this kind of content. People who appreciate slow storytelling, who find comfort in thoughtful conversations, who enjoy the little details as much as we do.

We Want to Hear Your Perspective

This journey isn’t just about us; it’s about you too.

We want to hear your perspective. What small moments have stuck with you lately? What’s something you’ve observed that others might have overlooked? Have our videos sparked any thoughts or memories for you?

We’d love for our channel to be a place where we’re not just talking at you, but with you. So drop a comment, send us a message, or even share your own stories with us. Let’s build something together; one quiet, thoughtful conversation at a time.

For now, we’ll keep sipping coffee, telling stories, and figuring this out as we go. Thanks for being part of our journey.

Why are we on Stylez?

We feel that documenting our progress was a fun way to remember all the different aspects that we’ve seen over the years. So we thought, why not we put in a design for each piece of content that we produce. Each one telling the story of that particular video or podcast or whatever. For this collection, we put in some of our thoughts during the conception stage of our channel. As the channel grows so will this collection!
